Domain name system, Internet interconnection at peering node level, new tools in network security or telecommunication – these are just some of the topics on the agenda of the first CSNOG. The complete program is available at the Programme page.
On the first day of the meeting, Richard Sheehan from Facebook will give a presentation on active network monitoring not just through standard tools but also through test traffic. Ondřej Filip, CEO of the CZ.NIC Association, will present the differences between the new branch 2.0.x of the BIRD routing daemon and the older 1.6.x. Participants can also look forward to discussing the benefits and weak spots of the IRR and RPKI tools developed by RIPE NCC, which provide routing security. The afternoon part of the meeting will, among others, contain the presentations of CZ.NIC CTO Zdeněk Brůna, CTO of NIX.CZ Petr Jiran or the representatives of the Czech Telecommunication Office, Equinix and skHosting.eu.
The second day of the first Czech and Slovak CSNOG will be opened by Tomáš Košňar from the CESNET Association, who will discuss the possible limits of connection architecture for critical services. Karel Tomala from the Czech Telecommunication Office will familiarize the audience with the newly built measuring infrastructure, which is being developed for the purpose of checking and verifying selected parameters of electronic communications data services provided to end-users in mobile and fixed networks. Viktor Kustein and Jan Horák from Gransy will highlight the risks of abuse of domains, completing their presentation with statistics related to the Czech and Slovak environment. In the afternoon part of CSNOG will present Ondřej Surý from ISC or Pavel Šnajdr from vpsFree.cz.
